Two Outta Three Ain't Bad.

Call it kismet (or something else entirely), but for whatever reason, I ended up with Doctor's appointments for three different concerns on Friday, each one requiring an X-ray.

The results:

  • The lump in my hand is nothing to be concerned with;

  • My foot is not broken;

  • The kidney stone is about 1cm in diameter and needs surgery.

ouch! kidney stone... no fun. Be well.

Proof of what a bad reader I can be sometimes: even with the title, when this first went up, I somehow scanned the first two items and thought to myself, "oh good, he's fine" and left. Then just now as I came back by, that last item suddenly jumped out at me.

Anyway, sorry you've gotten such news. Any possibilty that the surgery will be less painful than passing it less intrusively would have been? Guessing not, but trying to think of some sort of positive. Hope all goes well.

For the record, the rock in question has been hanging around and bothering me for over a year, and it's not going anywhere on its own.

Plus, the surgery is non-invasive outpatient surgery...they aim sonic waves at the thing and shatter it into dozens of teeny tiny pieces...It'll feel bruises for a couple of days, which it feels like most of the time anyway. So surgery=good thing.

Well, I guess the kidney stone isn't that big a deal then, but best wishes for that surgery!
